DID YOU KNOW?

If you’re a leaseholder and not happy with your existing property management company, you can change this! Right to Manage was introduced under the Leasehold and Common-hold Reform Act 2002. It allows groups of leaseholders to collectively gain control of the management of their development. Right to Manage doesn’t require landlord’s permission, proof of mismanagement or a court order. However, a certain criterion must be met to successfully complete the process.

The outcome of completing the procedure is that a new Company is set up to manage your building which is run by you and your neighbours. You will make decisions together on how your property is managed or appointing a new property management company.
